I use: Motor mounts TRW 2220 & 2221. Trans mount 2253. These mounts are off '65, '66 ford 289's. When you remove the old motor there will be 2 vertical slotted holes on the pads where the old mounts came off of. You want to slot the lower holes about 1/2" down. When you put the motor mounts on the motor you will need to make 2" spacers between the mounts and the motor. When installing the motor you will leave the bolts to the motor mounts loose until it is in the car. This levels the motor and gives the fan better centering to the radiator. For the Transmission, I remove that small cross member with 6 bolts and replace it with a piece of 2" channel. After the motor mounts are bolted and tight, jack up the trans so the motor is fairly level and the trans is not touching the floor boards. Bolt the trans mount to the trans. Fit a the piece of channel into the frame and mark and drill the holes for the trans mount (the open part of the channel down). Bolt the channel to the trans. With a piece of 2" or 3" angle, cut it so that the vertical fits into the channel and the horizontal touches the frame. When the mount is tight to the frame and everything is where you want it then weld the angle to the channel, drill the tabs and the frame for 7/16" bolts. Now bolt the mount to the frame. Don't forget to bolt the bracket for the "E" brake back to the frame. NOTE: When putting the motor mounts on the motor you will have to measure which one has the stud a little further forward and which side of the car has the hole a little further forward. Then match them up. When you figure which P/N goes s on either side let me know, as I forgot to write this down.
