Just so you don't think we favor only mid-fifties wagons… here's some scoop on a '59 that's prowling the streets and highways of Arizona. Tom Hull is creating a mega beast. Sheer terror with 4 doors. Tom is piecing together a project that was started some time ago by his father.
Why the project was never completed is a bit unclear, but Tom has taken on the job wholeheartedly. After pulling the beast home, Tom went to work immediately stripping the chrome and getting it ready for a complete exterior resto.
While the bodywork was in progress Tom also decided to install Ford's big gun, a 460 big block. And not just any mild-mannered 460 but one with, get this... 2, count them 2, Garrett T-4 turbos!
Nitrous is also in the planning stage.

Other cool stuff already on this 1959 rolling stock are C-6 transmission, 9" Disk brake rear end (narrowed Ford 9"), air bag suspension front and rear, 33 x 19.50 Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pros (all inside the fender wells !) 4 wheel Hydroboost disk brakes.

Tom decided to shoot the beast Ford Probe yellow. After all, a mega beast deserves a mega color. This car is coming along nicely and Tom promises to update when new "things" are done to the car. We can't wait. Some day, if you're in AZ, you might be sitting at a light and wonder… "What's that vibration?" Don't panic, just lock the doors and hide the children.
